Default Guys is this fucking natural?

Im freaking out, I've lost like 300 bucks today..

Here's the way my bankroll has looked

    100 deposit
sit at 100 for a long time playing SNG
    play ring, hit 400
    go down to 100
    back to 400
stay at 400 for a long time and fluxuate 100
really do well and hit 800
stay around here for a few days rocking it
losing to bad beats puts me at 750

1 day of madness and im sitting at 366.

    edit:// example of my luck.

To answer the question in big capital letters there at the end, what happened is that you called an AI versus one opp with a hand that should only be played for as-cheap-as-possible versus as-many-as-possible.

Did you think you had a good chance at this pot when you called? You did not. Neither did the other guy, but the important difference that comes up in these forums a lot is:

he pushed. he did not call a push

when you push, you are adding to the (sometimes marginal) strength of your hand the possibility that opp will fold. With stuff like 96s that's almost your only hope.

When you call a push, you do not add anything at all to your hand's strength, so it better be a good headup hand.

i understand what you're saying about losing in a 96 vs 96 situation. that is indeed shitty luck.

but the fact that you called a guy's all-in with 96 has nothing at all to do with luck. i fully appreciate the blind steal attempt. but when it goes wrong like that, you don't throw good money after bad, you let it go. that's where skill matters in this game.

I won and then lost $400 in a day a few days ago.

Throughout this week, my remaining bankroll after a couple cashouts has gone from $700 to $300 to $700 to $800 to $300 then to $200.

I've been playing short-handed exlclusively, though, and this seems to be a lot more volatile than playing full ring games.

If it makes you feel any better. This is my last 3 weeks of playing.

    Start with 500.

    Up to 1300

    down to 900

    up to 4000

    down to 3800

    up to 6200

    down to 3000

    down to 1200 (today)

I'm on a rediculous downturn, If you just make sure you are playing correctly and making the right decisions then it all works out in the end.

jeez, why are you playing such high limits with that small bankroll?I seen you post a 1000PL hand...

Same goes for you dsaxton, if you only have 200 left you should play no higher than 25NL unless you feel comfortable depositing more money when you bust out.

Yah, bankroll management guys, those sort of swings aren't really feasible if you stick to 10 buyins, if your roll is 1K and you somehow lose 500 you have to move down a level, it feels like weak play but it's not.

I don't play for stakes that are too high. I just play tons of hands.

How does losing a hand in a freeroll cripple your bankroll?

I've never lost more than 1/5 of my bankroll in one day, so I can't really empathize, I guess.

I played 1000 just once only because I got greedy of how bad the play was. I dropped back to my normal 200pl and just took beat after beat after beat.

When you log 10-15k hands in a week then you see these swings in full steam

damn doggz. Thats an amazing upswing, followed by an amazing down.

It does make me feel better actually...

I think i would save the most money if I could have like a set radar or something. I lose to quite a few sets a day... It's just so hard to fold tptk when half the time the person is either bluffing or has a lower kicker at 25NL. lets not forget the all in flush draw attempts.
