Hero has Jd Qc (two pair, queens and fives).

I really thought I had a shot with a bluff here on the turn. This guy had VPIP of 56% and PFR of 16% on GT+, and a showdown % of just 20%. He certainly concealed this hand though.

I don't think his play here is all that bizarre or even unreadable. He made a decent sized raise with aces. Then when he flopped a monster, he slowplayed it with a bunch of check-calling. He was probably going for the check-raise on the river, and you disappointed him.

I don't really LIKE his play, but it's very straight-forward.

I guess if he meant to put a big check-raise in on the river then it makes more sense (not a play too often seen at this limit). But once the bluff (well, semibluff since I did have a pair of Qs and was tieing with KQ at this point) had been called on the turn I thought he must have an A down there. I was rather surprised to see two though.
