Saw this guy play a small set earlier, he played it really slow, betting half the pot, calling the turn, and checking down the river with a boat. I was just scared of a boat here, or a bigger flush.

    Weak?

I've heard people say also that you should gamble it up with a pair and a flush draw...

    himself fucker.
Play til the river is standard. You're given 3:1 odds and you're only beaten by a set. I think you've gotta call unless you were really sold that he had a set.

try betting out the river instead and see if he comes over top of you.
    If I had a hammer
    I'd drop in the morning
    I'd drop in the evening..

Given some play later, I really wish I had called there.

I doubt he had me beat.

I re-raise the flop here. Is this too much aggression?

I don't think so. 9 outs to the flush + 5 outs to 2pr or set = 14 outs --> not bad. Certainly with position I re-raise here.

I often try to check-raise all-in, or bet then reraise all-in with a pair and a flush draw. In your situation, I would definitely reraise all-in after your opponent raises the minimum. He's probably too weak to call an all-in reraise, and even if he does call, you're a favorite over most pairs, and have roughly the same chances of having the winning hand on the river against two pair, providing one of your cards is higher than the highest of your opponents two pair.

When I have a big draw like this, I like to force my opponents to gamble or forfeit the pot. I don't like to passively call raises or check-call, since my chances will diminish on the turn if I miss, and my opponent will likely slow down if I don't. Playing these situations passively also creates the problem of allowing a better flush draw to stay in the hand.

Yeah i think I would've re-raised AI on the flop.

I think that bet on the river was too big for him to have the boat, maybe he just assumed you guys had the flush and would call. Not sure.
