Default To Pot Commited To Fold?

This was an awkward position for me. MP3 was a bit wild, he raised a 4xBB on just about every flop he had something worth playing. Ranging from AA to KTo, to A9o. Since we all limped in I couldn't really tell what he had. His raising of my bets told me he had something and I was putting him on something like A8s or Q8s. What do you guys think? Did I get myself to pot committed by coming off with higher bets without throwing out a check bet?

    SB ($51.02)
    BB ($36.24)
    UTG ($28.40)
    UTG+1 ($44.57)
    Hero ($52.37)
    MP2 ($30.98)
    MP3 ($35.50)
    CO ($27.59)
    Button ($36.83)

    Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K , T .
    UTG calls $0.50, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.50, 1 fold, MP3 calls $0.50, 3 folds, BB checks.

    Flop: ($1.50) K K 8 (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $3 MP3 calls $3, BB folds, UTG Calls.

    Turn: ($7.50) J (2 players)
    Hero bets $8, MP3 raises $8to $16 Hero Calls.

    River: ($37.50) 4 (2 players)
    Hero bets $15, MP3 raises $5 to $20 and is all-in, .....

    Wastin' away again in margaritaville....
With that hand you want to get your opponent pot committed. If you folded this I will personally ban you.

The overbet on the flop looks like you want this hand over with and want to steal it. Some players with a strong draw would call you on that, most times you will fold out the board. It worked this time. You made him think you were buying it, got him committed and he payed you off.

Am I wrong here, but I thought the min raise was what had been raised before? - MP3 would have had to raise to $16 would he not?

Well I was happy through this entire hand until the showdown...

He had 88 giving him the boat

I don't think I would ever fold this hand I was just second guessing myself in not thinking about the possibilty he was holding the 8's. And I'm not sure I would fold this if I had a thought he had the 8's.

I'm confused. You had KT and got a T on the turn, yes? So you had a better boat... right? Or were you unhappy because you put a bad beat on him? (If so, this is startingly similar to a hand I beat a guy on earlier today, where he also smooth-called a boat on the flop and let me make a higher boat on the turn.) If that's the case, it's his fault for letting you get a free card. He should have raised.

Also confused. Didn't you have T full of K's?

well your right this rewrite of this hand was terrible...massive amounts of typos....

    flop was kk8
    turn was J
    river was 4

Understood. Now for analysis of your actual hand - I think you played it pretty well. More than likely you're going to lose a lot of money in situations like that. The only thing I would question is calling his raise and then betting huge on the river. You have to at least entertain the possibility that you're beat - maybe king/higher kicker, maybe a boat. So maybe check the river and see how he bets. You may still not be able to fold it, but it might cost you less to find out what he's got.

I'm a tight player so when he smooth called your bet on the flop, I start thinking possibly KQ KJ or 88 against any other "solid" player. You mentioned he was a bit of a maniac, so even K8. The raise on the turn means he's serious. You were in too deep at that point and had to call. Just one of those hands I guess.
