    Default starting chip count issue?

    Hello y'all,

I played a small MTT today at the local card room (1st time there) and did OK, although finished outside the money (6th) (got to the final table shortstacked and got my straight busted goin all in with A 2o - the blinds which were comin very soon would have me all in anyways, so I took my chances with the A 2, beaten by a larger stacks call which gave him a higher straight) My question is this: Would you play differently starting with a 500 size starting stack, as opposed to the more common 1000, or 1500? The initial blinds are still 10 -20... So the 20 chip call is a much bigger percentage of your starting stack obviously .. any thoughts?

I played my first MTT in AC with a starting chip count of 500 and the blinds at 25/50 .... freaking riduculous! Expect to rebuy a number of times and play as a rebuy maniac for the first hour to build up chips to weather the storm when the rebuys end.

short starting stacks a rapid blind increases favor luck over skill. My advice, if you're playing a skill game is to find a different tournament. If you're hyper agressive, then it's fine. It doesn't sound like you're hyper agressive, though.
