A tough laydown, and he called a bet on the flop and the turn in which he was not getting good value for his money if it indeed was a flush draw ($3 to win $6.75 with a 40% chance to hit and then $4 to win $13.74 on a 20% chance to hit his flush). Maybe the pre-flop raise could have been stronger to try and knock him off the draw, but he was likely holding onto the Ah.
It was a good laydown and a good lesson in the strength of position. I think this hand looks quite a bit different, if he is UTG on the turn and river.
