Default Probably one of the worst SnG plays I've ever seen

Situation: 9 player $6.50 Turbo SnG, down to 4. I'm horribly short-stacked in 4th and can't even cover a big blind. I'd like to see some analysis on how horrible you thought Player A's play was this hand.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (4 handed) converter

    SB :#A500AF(Player A)/ (t3000)
    BB :#A500AF(Player B)/ (t6405)
    Hero (t503)
    Button (t3592)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 6, 5.
    2 folds, SB :#A500AF(Player A)/ completes, BB :#A500AF(Player B)/ checks.

    Flop: (t1050) A, 3, 2 (2 players)
    Player A bets t600, Player B calls t600.

    Turn: (t2250) 5 (2 players)
    Player A bets t1750 (All-In), Player B calls t1750.

    River: (t5750) A (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Final Pot: t5750

    Results in white below:
Player A has Jc 2h (flush, ace high).
Player B has 6d Kc (flush, ace high).
    Outcome: Player B wins t5750.

I thought that it wasn't a very good call considering that the tournament was 1 player busting from those remaining placing in the money, with the short stack being all-in on the big blind the very next hand. In that situation, unless you bust out that hand, you're pretty much guaranteed of finishing in the money.

So why take that risk if you're not 100% sure of having the best hand?

I think he was over agressive on this hand... oh, at least you made it ITM

What does that have to do with anything? Another guy busted out of the tourney, letting him get ITM. Read his post ... And for SnGs, you do usually play to get ITM because when you do, you double your money. After you get ITM, winning is just a technicallity.

Yea, I'd say that there's not too much of a bad play here. Player A had to take his chances with his made flush.

Although - you do make a good point about being careful on the bubble. I mean, when I see other players doing stuff like this just before hitting ITM, especially when i am short stacked, I get a little natural high. lol.
