    Default Please help

I play in a weekly No Limit small betting poker night...recently tho the format has changed and we are now playing under a time limit. I usually play tight when lots of people are in, we start with ten...last couple of times out tho I have waited the whole hour and half and was only in two pots...My question and i need your advice...should i play looser and get in more pots....or should i just keep playing tight and only playing good hands....?
    thanks you guys

Your post is a little vague, but I'd say your strategy is fairly sound. Only play good hands, but loosen up with position, and take a few cheap flops with marginal hands like suited connectors, particularly from very late/CO/Button... You cna hit monsters with these, and if your opponents are at all observant of your tight nature, you might be able to buy pots anyway.

Very basic advice. Can't do much without some more info, your ideas of good hands/bad hands... blind structures etc.

    Default thanks for the answer

sorry im vague trying to give the just of what i need not the details...I was thinking that if i called the blind on more pots i would get to see more flops and be in more hands...I am waiting for good pocket cards...pair AK AQ AJ AT etc ...but i was thinking i should play more K7 K2 kinda thing to get into more pots...time seems to be my enemy during a time limit game.
Just my thought...last game i was only in two pots in the time limit...one hand notably was throwing in 7,4 to see two fours pop up and the river was a seven...arg

Yeah... Cards like 74o? Who plays those?!?

Sorry, that's a little inside joke that you probably won't get til later.

You don't always have to wait for premium cards. If no one's raised, and you're on the button, take a flop. I'm not saying to get stupid with a 8-2, but small connected cards play well from this position... K7? Maybe.

as you know, with Poker... there's no definite answer. It all depends on your opponents, bet sizes, position, reads... There's just too much involved.

But a good general rule is to loosen your standards the later you are in the hand.

    Default keep tight aggressive

dont change anything cause the time is an issue. Think about it, if you only play the better hands then you should win a better of the time. For example if you are a 3-2 favorite in a hand then you will win 3 times vs. your opponents 2. 500 is right though, play a little looser in late positions but over all keep to the good hands. No do not jump into K7 ect unless its suited and you think a flush would make you a lot of money other wise let these hands go.
