Default Calling An All In With Others Left To Act

I've been in this situation before and I was wondering how others have handled it.

Lets say theres 5 people left in a 2-table top 4 pays. Theres a chip leader with twice as much as you and another guy thats is relative to your stack and 2 shorter stacks. Your on the button, and you get AJs. UTG is the shortest stack on the table maybe 1/2 your stack and moves all in. The other shorter stack folds and its your move. Now with still having the chip leader and the player that has a close stack size to you left to act do you call his AI hoping the others will fold? Or do you raise it up to force them to fold? Or do you fold it?

I've had many situations here where I have chosen to fold a hand like this and then no one calls it, or I raise it up and someone calls, or called it and someone else raises. Its a very touchy situation and I was wondering how some of you handle it.

With others to act behind you you need to decide to push ai or fold.

Ya, if I feel like playing im going all-in. It has happened a few times where someone else will call behind with a monster but thats a rare occurance.

It is one of those depends situations....If the blinds are very large at this point particularly compared to UTG's stack he may be pushing and praying with any ace to at least steal the blinds since he is BB next - I would push as well to discourage any callers behind you.

If the blinds are average say 100 or 150 and he (UTG) has 1000 or 1200 chips I would absolutely fold A-J in this situation...best case you are a coin flip with and under pair, worst case you are dominated by A-K, A-Q, A-A, K-K or Q-Q. Unless UTG is in a "desperate" situation A-J is not strong enough to call off 1/2 you stack.

I would never call in this situation....as aokrongly said, this is a push or fold decision.

If I'm gonna play, it's all in to shut out those behind me. if someone's got a monster... well, then it sucks to be me, I guess.
