    Default Poker Stars SNG

For those of you familiar with PS SNGs...

What is your take on the difference between $10 and $20 SNGs? I've had success at the $10 level and am wondering whether I should move up.

have you been winning over 500 sngs?

if yes, take a couple of stabs. The general thinking is that differences between level x and level y is very marginal at most until you hit higher stakes (50~100+)

    Default not really

No there is nothing obviously different untill you hit the end of the tourney, then your able to tell there is a small difference. The players are a little tighter but honestly if you are profitable at the 10$ then all systems go for 20$. Please play with a bank roll that can support it though.

i play in both and do well, $10 are easier but if you are winning in those you will probably be able to win in $20 ones as well. there are still plenty of fish willing to donate their money while they attempt to suck out on you. but dont move up unless your bankroll is able to support it.

500? I know its easy to be misled by an insufficient sample size. I'm not basing my concern on that (although I do have a 62% ROI after 60 tourneys). The main issue is that I feel as though I'm often simply outplaying people. I don't think I'm getting significantly lucky at all. Rather, I seem to be understanding table dynamics and recongnizing when I can push someone off a hand. I feel like I'd be wasting my time getting that large of a sample size if I could easily do as well at the next level.

I think you are on the right track. If your bankroll can handle a decent number of buyins into the next level (say 10) while leaving you fully bankrolled for your current level, then I say take a shot at that many of them and see how you do.

If you find yourself over your head, just stay where you are. Don't let an early win pull you into the next level either. Run your sample set, keep as many stats as you can think of, and realy crunch the numbers first.

Well, after 10 of them, my conclusion is that there's no discernable difference. I'm enjoying twice the profit for the same game.
