Default Crippling Hand in PP Freeroll

    Any thoughts on this hand?

I think the average stack for the entire tournament so far was abit over 2000.

I know I shoudlve folded preflop esp after the raise. But post flop I had a feeling that the big stack was probe betting.

    Thoughts and flaming criticisms appreciated.
    THank you for your time.

    Push or fold pf.
You going to have to bet the rest of your stack on the flop to do a pot sized bet to give chasers bad odds, if the flop looks good for you. So either push all-in if you think you got them beat pf and you feel that it might get you HU.
Usally I would fold and wait since there are two in the pot already, but freerolls I might have pushed this one.

Is betting the river a good play here? You called a good raise preflop, then check-raised the river. Then you checked the turn and he checked because he didn't have a hand strong enough to raise with and was probably trying to see the river without being check-raised again. He may think you have KK or AK in which case he would fold. I think this is where you push if you are willing to take that risk in a freeroll.

He doesn't have enough chips to spare to try and take this on the river.

If you've got the balls to try, it's a fine line. but you've got to be aware of your stack.

If you're going to play your 9's after a preflop raise and a call, I think you either push preflop or check raise all in after the flop. I don't think check raising 300 chips is scarying the big stack off when he has an over to the board.
-It seemed like a good idea at the time-

'rilla, you're right. I forgot about using math.

If you are in, then I would fold on the flop raise when I didn't hit the set. You still have plenty of chips left to make a comeback. You still have plenty of orbits covered to try for a better situation.
