ITM finally :)

OK so I am a newbie here, and relatively new to NLHE , but I have been reading with great enthusiasm the posts and discussions here- I have played in a few (less than 10 I think) low buy in MTT's, not including a couple of freerolls, and played a few STT's where I have finished ITM or won bout half of them- hadnt been able to crack the ITM barrier of these big MTTs till today finally- I won a whopping 13 bucks for finishing 51st in a 500+ 5 + .50 MTT at pokerroom, but I was happy to at least finish ITM!! and wanted to thank you guys for the great site and posts and help here.. My game is improving thanks to FTR

Rock On!! That's a tough nut to crack, I don't care what anyone says. It's a bitch to invest 3 or more hours and get 13 bucks, but it's a strong accomplishment. Congrats!

What was the secret that helped you?

Thanks man. I plan on cracking that nut alot more ! hehe.. As for the secret that helped, I guess just a combination of all the strategies, especially from Ripptyde and Rada- I succesfully stole a few blinds when I was getting shit cards, in late position, and someone wrote an interesting and helpful piece of advice that "dont be afraid of blinding out" and not play a mediocre hand just because you are short stacked- was way way down till I could barely make the Blinds, and finally got a decent hand (I forget what it was), and played it against 1 person, in late position to almost all folds, and tripled up, went on to be able to steal a few more blinds- and then was just too short stacked to compete as the blinds got up to 1200 etc.. patience is tough though sometimes!! lol
