should I play these?

My local "card room" has a small MTT every weekend, 25$ buy in, 2 tables, its kind of a weird one though. First off, you start with 300 or 500 chips instead of 1000 or 1500, the blinds start at 10/20 and go up very fast, like 5 minutes it seems- they also have an option to let players in the 1st 15 min who didnt get there early enough to register, and these "alternates" can get in the game within the 1st 15 min if players are eliminated. Also, the prize structure is 1st= 50%,2nd=30% 3rd = 20% BUT, they dont play to the end! when there are 3 left, the money is split according to stack size . With the blinds up so fast and a starting stack size so low, its hard to play the game I am accustomed to..Just was wondering if you guys think this is worth even playing..I played it once and came in 8th.Thanks!

I, personally, would find another game. This sounds like the guy who's running it is setting it up for his style of play. The stacks are too low, the blinds go up too fast and WTF is the deal with splitting the top 3 money like that? It smells funny to me.

yeah, I thought it was weird. Only live game in town though I think Ill stick to playing online for now. Thanks for the feedback.
