Yes, they do. Since $5 is the cheapest SnG you see some craziness. Like calling ai with 22. Just kidding. If you're way up moneywise for the day sometimes you just want to look up these idiots and see what they have.

    Congrats on doing well lately.

TERRIBLE CALL! You know that at BEST you're 50%, maybe more if someone has A2s, etc. Why risk your chips like this on a pure gamble?

    Because
    1) Its the first hand so i havent built up a stack
    2) I wouldnt be terribly upset for losing my money.
    3) Anyone who goes all-in first hand deserves this.
    4) Pocket deuces are the best starting hand
    5) But mainly because of what aokrongly said, I didnt believe him, I was looking him up.

    Um.
    WHAT???????

Sorry but calling the all in here was a worse play than pushing with 34o. Unless of course you had some fantastic notes on this guy from several other SnGs.

So how did people at the table react to your play? Did they give you lots of action later or did they get scared of you? I personally would have probably kept an eye on you and seen your big stack as a potentially easy target.

I think even if he did have notes, he doesn't want to go AI here. It's the first hand, no need to risk it on a coinflip.

    (consulting notes...)

let's see... it says here that this guy pushes AI with unpaired cards lower than 2.

    Sweet! I call.

When you have a pair of twos in the hole, the BEST odds you can have are about 1.2:1 in your favor for any hand your opponent may hold that does not have a 2 in it. That is if you go up against an 83o where the suits do not overlay the suits of your twos. Now, that is the BEST odds you can have. You are actually an underdog to something as simple as suited connectors. As odd as it seems, twos are a 1.15:1 underdog to an 87s. Amazingly, you are a slight underdog to something as silly as unsuited connectors like a 87o. Obviously, you are a huge underdog to any other pair. While your read was correct that he had junk, your hand was junk as well and that puts your tournament life up to a coinflip on the first hand.
