Default 5 Unlucky hands or 5 bad hands?

This is hands 5-9 of a 6 person $10 SnG
Did I misplay this or was it just bad luck? I think I went wrong with the first pocket Kings, I shouldve folded on the turn, perhaps raised more PF

With A2s, A on the flop - you cannot call his bet. You must either assume he really has an ace (and hence out kicks you), or check by raising.

With the KK hands... I want to criticize, but you did well to not lose your whole stack. In both cases BET THE FLOP. The guy who flops top two pair is certainly going to re-raise you. Although if he is tricky, he might flat call with no draws on the board. With the rag turn, I think you have to lay it down. So, I would have played it differently, but the out come is probably the same, more or less.

You also MUST bet that draw heavy flop - you can't put the guy on 89 here. I think you got "lucky" with the A on the turn - gave you a lay down that would have been difficult if not impossible.

I also think you misplayed the final AKo. While you are short with 540, the blinds are really small, you could have seen a flop. In the end, you were a coinflip preflop - it could have been worse.

This is basically just agreeing with Zen, but repeating for emph-ass-is.

Both your Ax calls were loose. When the A hits you had to bet or check/raise. I go by Dan Harrington's advice, which is to make one bet post flop that "defines your position". If he's calling a raise, a decent bet or reraising you, then you've just defined your hand and can get out. If you think the Aces are good then you should be raising with them, if you don't then you should be folding with an ugly kicker.

You HAVE to bet those king post flop, with or without an A on board. With an ace you're defining your hand. You'll get a caller or raiser if they have it. With a draw on the board you have to bet it strong to take away drawing odds.

The AK late, don't go ai. It's a BAD move, especially when the blinds are minimal, like they were. Raise if you want or call if you want and look at the flop. You can bet them heavy after the flop even if they miss, but why not see before you committ all your chips? You'll only be called on that bet by a big pocket pair, which means you're behind. If everyone folds you get nothing of value. In this case a large stack called with a low pair. You were still behind.

The summary is you were way too active with Ax, too passive with KK, and AI against a hand that needs help (which AK needs against any pair) and small blinds wasn't the best way to play it.

Fold Ax. Just fold it. If you pair the A you've got kicker issues. If you're not going to fold it then learn how to bet it so that you can either win the pot right there or not throw good money after bad. When the blinds are small you may have to raise those kings a bit more to scare out the crap, get the call over 100 chips and people will thing twice about calling without a hand.

Thank you for all the advice aokrongly and zenbits, I can definetly see how I misplayed those hands but in my defense the only reason I called with the Ax's was because they were suited, I never call with that stuff 10 handed unless its suited and cheap to play. The first hand I had my flush draw and played according to what I considered to be the implied odds. The second hand I should have realized that the suits didnt mean anyhing I'm not sure why I called after the flop. With AK I'm pretty sure i was just on tilt thats definetly my fault.

I often see flops with these s00ted cards, but lay them down on the flop unless you hit your draw, that 2 kicker is laydown material. With your kings, you need to bet them out on the flop, even if you dont have the ace. On the flop with the low cards, you should have been throwing out a good sized bet, a real good sized bet. You said it with the AK allin, tilt is a mean monster, don't let it in your head.

I just read the first paragraph of DAVSIMON's Sit n go strategy and had I followed his advice I would not have seen the flop in the first 2 hands, I might have driven everyone out with my kings as well (he sugests a 10-15x raise I believe). And I definetly would have had more chips and not gone AI with my A-K. I am definetly going to follow DAVSIMON's advice in future sit'n'gos.

Seeing flops with good pot odds on hands with strong outs is recommended in my opinion. Be careful to not bleed out a ton of chips, but like when you completed on the first hand with axs, I think you had good odds.
