From tonight. Analysis, please.

It was a $5 SNG at PokerStars. As per usual, I played tight in the beginning, then changed gears once it got short-handed. Of course, I made mistakes where I should've been more aggressive here and tighter there.

During the game, it didn't seem like I was playing a lot of hands, at least in the beginning, but looking at the history, it seems I was. I know once it got down to 3 or 4 players, I played almost every hand.

I'm not really a resident guru. I manage to be a bit above even at $10+1 SnGs. But I will offer my opinion anyways.

First few hands are blinds and a PP. I wouldn't change anything here.

Hand #15: I'm not a big fan of raising with QJ in early position. Bluffing a pot with overpairs is OK, but it is much more risky with only Q high. I would prefer to have an A or K. I think if the small stack didn't have PP you pick this pot up.

Hand #17: I would rather try to buy the pot on the turn so that I wouldn't have to show down on the river with nothing if I get called.

Hand #21: Good fold. Not worth the risk this early.

Hand #27: Don't limp with Q/7. If your going to play it raise. I would suggest folding it instead, especially in early position.

Hand #29: Buying the pot again, but this time on the turn. I like this play.

Hand #32: I like the continuation bet after the blind steal is called. Good turn and river action.

Hand #36: I would re-raise on the flop. He'll probably call with AJ / KJ and re-raise all in with a 2. It might let you get out of the hand cheaper in the long run if you can lay it down there. From what I can see of KKrud's play, he's only aggressive when he has something. He may call with TPGK but normally doesn't bet out or re-raise without something close to the nuts.

Hand #38: Good bet with TPGK. Take it down there if you can.

Hand #39: I like your raise to get info. Again KKrud shows he probably has at least TPGK by calling. Nice river.

Hand #51: At this point I prefer to raise instead of call.

Hand #52: Nice aggression with top pair. Again I would have raised if I was going to play.

Hand #54: Questionable to play with one caller and a raise with only A5 o/s. Nice laydown.

Hand #59: Since KKrud has shown a tendency to be tight/weak I would just raise the blind and not even give him a chance to catch a flop.

Hand #63: Give more respect to the re-raise. Flush flop, with A rags showing. To much that beats PP or even trips. Your straight draw is also drawing dead to a flush. Any hand that you beat is also scared of the flush and straight, so you can show down cheep. I'd check fold the river unless it was a really small bet.

Hand #64: Good raise.

Hand #65/66: Take it if they let you have it.

Hand #71: Good laydown. I tend to avoid hands with the big stack though, unless I have good cards.

Hand #72: I probably would have called the flop and see if I could check down to the river. I would call a bet, but I don't like to be all in when the other guy can bust and get me ITM.

Hand #75: Since you raised pre flop, I would re-raise to a pot sized bet on the flop to see if he likes his K or A and kicker. If he does I would probably let him have it.

Hand #76: You have shown a tendency to bet out when the flop/turn is checked to you even if you don't have anything. Usually they lay it down, but if they push back you fold. I think beta25 picked up on this.

Hand #77: Got caught stealing, good call to try and double up here.

Hand #78: I probably would have layed this hand down, I'm not a fan of Kx o/s. Let the blinds punish each other.

Hand #79: Raise if you think he missed, otherwise fold on the flop.

Hand #81: Good call by you. Good flop for him.

Hand #83: Good raise. He can't call unless he has something. Unfortunately he has pp. =/

Hand #84: See hand 78. You don't really need to try and steal the chips here.

Hand #85: I don't have a problem defending your blind.

Anyways, nothing earth shattering here, just thought I would give you my thoughts.

I reject that totally.

If you can see a flop for cheap, 1 out of 8 times you make your set, giving yourself a big advantage especially since it's so hard for the other players to sniff it out. If you don't get your set, it's easy to throw away. In other words, there's a huge potential gain for miniscule risk.

Besides, it is the 1st hand. I was neither pushing with them nor calling a big raise. I wasn't playing loose.

He didn't call an all-in, he put the guy all in with his bet. If the guy didn't have anything he probably picks this hand up. I would agree that calling an all-in would not be a good move here.
