Default TT , JJ vs All In

is there ever a time when calling an all-in preflop raise with TT or JJ is appropriate??

ive been burned out of a cpl tournaments calling with these cards. i have won with them , but overall ive lost.

if the raiser is a notoriously loose player who's been playing every two cards sent his way , can you call his raise ?

or should these pairs be mucked and forgotten until you can raise the blinds with them.

Old adage of poker, "Overall, you need to call an all-in with a stronger hand than you would raise all-in with."

You have to assume that an all in call with be against AT WORST a slightly underpair from a short stack. Otherwise, you can assume that you are against either an overpair or 2 over cards. I'd say only call an all-in with JJ/TT if you are short-stacked and desperate to make a move. In that situation, you can't afford to throw away a hand like JJ/TT.
I don't know what they have to say
    It makes no difference anyway.
    Whatever it is...
    I'm against it.

sometimes late in a tournament if you are short stacked with big blinds you will be forced to call with a hand like this simply because it will be your best opportunity to double up. just hope the guy is raising with overs or a small pair so you have a decent shot at winning the pot. i'd also think of calling an all-in with a hand like this late in the tourney when its been folded around to the button and a short stack on the button goes all-in. late in the tourney players will often make that play with Ax or even worse so your 10s or Js would be the favorite here.

When little stacks start getting desperate and are about to get blinded out, it is (imho) always good to call their allins with TT and JJ. Like lovemachine said, against Axs you are a favorite.
