    Default hand question

So this is a funny hand, cause the question doesn't come from what I did or if I should have. The question is what I did and what I knew at the time.

I knew that SURFING would go all in pre-flop. I had no question of that. I also knew that I was willing to call SURFING's all-in and even BOB27 if he chose to go all in as well. But I didn't want to call if others decided to join in. I threw out enough to try and get PAPA and BADABING (the 2 people acting after me and before SURFING) to fold. Then hoping that SURFING would push other people out so I could be last to act and call his all-in.

I raised, but when TIMMY called the all-in, I knew I had to fold.

Was it wrong to put that raise out there, knowing that I would likely lose it?
I don't know what they have to say
    It makes no difference anyway.
    Whatever it is...
    I'm against it.

Timmy not going all-in on top of Surfings all-in shows that he is concerned about your initial raise to $180. If he could go with just the two short stacks that would be a pretty good bargain because he knows they're getting desperate and at the same time he's concerned about his own stack.

All depends on the feel you had gained from Timmy during the previous hands played. If he seems smart, or has been playing tight he could have a monster, and is just smooth calling to ensure that shortstack Bob is going to call and maybe even yourself. Even still, if I'm Timmy and I have a monster, say KK, I want everyone else out of there and I would be satisfied with taking the shortstacks out. You don't need A 10 coming in to catch a flop.

I'd only have been concerned if Nort or Isaac called to $410. In lead position to your shorter yet considerable stack they would either need to hit or be holding in order to bet out after the flop. Would eliminate the bluff as an out if they weren't going to be able to call your all-in raise. With how it was though, I would have been hard pressed not to put Timmy to a decision for all his chips after just calling to $410 with only a $1000 remaining.
