Converting US Dollars to British Pounds

Today I realised that I think I've been counting my winnings wrongly. Does 1 British pound convert into about 1.6 US dollar? I've been thinking that 1 pound is about 0.60 US dollars. I thought I had about £125 but really I may have £480 ish.

Am I right in thinking I have made more then I thought?

No, the £ is doing really well against the $ and it is more like 1GB£ = US$1.9 or US$1=GB£0.52. I would say, for a conservative estimate, whatever your BR is in $$, halve it and that's what it is in ££ (plus a little more).
