Default Was this a bad fold?

I thought about this hand for ages and had concluded (afterwards) that I was probably ahead, but the player was liable to some unstandard plays. Some may criticise my initial raise, I don't know. What I do know is that I'd have liked to take the pot down but wasn't accounting for a strange play which if read wrong would swallow most of my chips.

If this guy was in a lot of hands, you probably did have the best of it. If he was a folder/rock passive preflop, then he had QQ. Also, far too many good players will see your good sized preflop raise with smaller PP; hammering the little trips gets plenty of chips. IMHO. I'm still stupid enough to sit here and see the overpair and trips in your game, but call that all in when it is my game. I may have had 300 chips left after this hand.
    I'm a know-it-all.

    No, really.

tough one... this is a terrible play with a set, withthe rainbow flop especially. You'd think an over pair would check and let you bet, then prolly move in. The set you'd think smooth call. You can't put him on two pair because he called a raise.

Here I'm thinking A7 or 56, looking to pick up a pot that you're not likely to have hit, but has outs if you did.

Unless the better there has been a rock, I'll call that bet all day and twice on Tuesday.

Sure, I pay it off sometimes, but I rake it in a lot more.

Honestly, I don't like the raise from EP with AJo this early. It's an iffy hand - you caught about the best thing you could (short of 2 pair +) with it here and you still had to fold (with a pair of As, you have to worry about your kicker).

Postflop, my play here depends on reads. I'd probably call absent them.
    I run a training site...
