I was in the big blind with J2o. Everybody folded (playing about 7-handed) and the small blind calls. The flop comes J 3*5*. (* means same suit) Well the small blind bet min, he was sort of a retard calling all the way down with AKo unimproved and then fold-n-showing, so i raised to pot. He thinks then pushes. To call i would have to put in about 3/4ths of my stack. I put him on just a small pair or flush draw. This is the question:

Do i call and put in a major part of my stack with 4 til the money with me 75% positive i have him beat, or fold and wait for a better situation?

That means he is passive, so generally when he bets (big), he does have a big hand.

So therefore I would fold here.

now, as for your situation. You said he was passive, so he never made bets, simply called them. Why, then do you think he's bluffing when he's betting?

he calls down UNIMPROVED so basically with nothing so i put him as a retard not so much passive but good point.

well anyways, he had A9 suited. yes the same suit on the board and he ended up catching on the river. kinda sucks to be right and getting sucked out on. ........

With a flush board you had to consider there was a flush draw possibility with this loose pusher, especially when you held top pair. Once again your read on this guy was loose. When you push hard into a potential draw, you have to make sure it's a tight player your pushing into. Your goal is to get the other person to fold so they don't draw out on you. Your not trying to race. You can't push into a loose player on a draw. They will committ everything and suck you out.

You have to milk a loose player like a cash cow. Just get under the belly and work the utters without spooking the old girl.

Holy god don't committ all your chips against a loose player on a two card flush draw. Your so close to the money. This isn't a ring game. This is a tournament.

There is an art to not being sucked out. You gotta pick your spots. Let him give you all his chips at a later date.
