That's pretty hard to read.. I think I.. would of folded that to. He seemed to have a good read on you. What can you do..

You're preflop bet has established that you do have a decent hand preflop, his raise suggests that he could well be on steal attempt.

His flop bet I feel confirms this, it is VERY weak and trying to buy the pot. I set him all in without fail. But hey, I am a guy who loves reading people more than actually playing the cards themselves

Im trying to play different now, Im trying to play cards early, and its working pretty well, often times I find myself short stacked, but if Im patient Im 1 hand away from being above average. Now I get into thsi hand, and I know what I woulda done, PUSH, but.. it seemed to conflict... my testicles screamed PUSH PUSH PUSH.. I just didnt listen, instead I fumbled around and made a horribly weak bet.. I feel liek crying..

I'm not so sure...That is about exactly the amount I would bet on the flop if I were on a set or flopped top 2-pair and thought I could get someone to come over the top of me....and once the did I would either re-raise the minimum or simply push. I think it was a good laydown with the information you had...he just put a really good move on you, nothing to be done about it but type NH

Nice Hand, good bet, well played.....whatever you need to do to put it behind you. The point is if you don't bring closure to the situation....mostly by acknowledging that you were out-played on that hand, it could nag at you....and nag at you and cause you to make poor decisions in the future. The only reason for him to show a bluff like that is to tilt you....get you to play into him on a future hand when he infact is as strong or stronger than he is representing.

I guess the point of your post is - "trust your read'?

Because unless you put him on a stone bluff this is a clear fold, even if he only has a str8 draw he has overs to your pair.

Would you have been happier if you'd pushed, gotten called by KQ and been bounced?

heres the thing, I fucked up on the flop bad. I should have pushed into his bet. even still, when he reraised me I shoulda pushed. I fumbled with the raise on the flop, it looked weak, I dont know what came over me... However a push would wake him up. Sure I bet funny before, but now Im serious. You see? It just didnt feel like he had it.. he was blind stealing.. he bet the flop and my brain goes "hes blind stealing, I caught him but he has teh stack to recover, its just a steal" Of course I didnt listen

I think you were right to play it how you did... however, with the reraise I think you're boned. I think he thinks you're re-stealing, but still I put him on middle pair or better to make this move.
