    Default Asking for some help...

    Maybe I missed something, but...
I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for hands to push (all-in) on when you're short-stacked.
I know any high pair is a no-brainer, followed by AK, AQ, AJ.
    Any others?

I'm asking because this one area is the reason why I've LOST so many SnGs lately.
The cards stop coming. Then I get junk. Then I have to either push or get blinded to death. I hate getting blinded to death.

The past few times I did push, I ended up going up against someone with pocket pair.

I wish I could fix this part of my game. Any advice?

This only applies for 2 players. IE You Push and all except 1 player calls. Or if your heads up

    Row 1 Hand
Row 2 If the other players could see your hand, how many would call
Row 3 If the other players could see your hand, how many would fold
Row 4 Probability that you will win if called
Now Row FIve is where its important
If I am correct (hopefully i am)
Row 5 Number of Big Blinds you must have to push all in with, in order for this push to be profitable in the long run. This number is a maximum value. For example if you had more than 953.995465xBB it would not be profitable for you in the long run to be pushing with KK.

    the median best hand chart

this chart dictates the median best ahnd you will get considering the number of hands you have left to play.

Pretending that you have 10 ahnds left to go before you are completely blinded out, the mediam best hand you will recieve if it were 4 handed would be AQo. THerefore if you got AQo or better, your first thought should be, this is probably the best hand im going to get within these next 10 hands. Granted its very possible that if you did not push with the AQo you could get AA on the next hand, and congratulate urself for not pushing with AQo. HOwever in the grander shceme of things the average best hand you will get over a kajillion hands will be that AQo.

I'd recommend starting to push with lower quality hands while you still have a big enough stack to push people out. Waiting until you're guarnateed to get called (probably 3 BB or less in stack) you're just begging for coin flip or worse type scenarios. AK isn't that big a favorite against 78s.

To add to drmcboy's point, It isn't enough to consider what hand strength to push with, but also consider the table conditions that will allow you to steal the blinds.

Is your stack large enough that people will lay down to an all-in?

Are their tight players in the blinds? Has anyone entered the pot before you?

The stack size of the players behind you, are the so small or so large they are going to call you anyway?

These are some other things to consider in addition to the strenght of the hand.
    Thanks,

Usually when I'm at a point where I have to think about pushing all-in, my stack isn't that big. It's usually around 10bb.

It's a position I am not happy with being in.
