Default funny hand vs a guy punishing limpers

I don't like raising out of position with this hand so i limped. The small stack on the BB tried to knoc us out of the pot, so I figured I must as well push it and nt worry about playing postflop...but he got caught stealing. He even thought about it for a long time before calling.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (7 handed) converter

    Hero (t15365)
    BB (t2970)

    MP1 (t2495)
    MP2 (t2690)
    CO (t9760)
    Button (t625)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, J.
3 folds, CO calls t400, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB raises to t1200, CO folds, Hero raises to t15365, BB calls t1745 (All-In).

    Flop: (t18835) 9, 2, Q (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Turn: (t18835) J (2 players, 1 all-in)

    River: (t18835) 8 (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Final Pot: t18835

    Results in white below:
Hero has Ad Jh (one pair, jacks).
BB has 2d 7s (one pair, twos).

Shit I do that when Im the BB all the time. But usually if the SB completes, and its headsup. I will raise to steal.

If instead of raising to 3xBB, he pushed, would you chave called?

yea he was small stack and if he pushes, i dont have to worry about postflop play, which was the reason i didn't raise preflop.

Considering the play of the hand, I'm assuming your competition was not really strong.... With that in mind, I didn't like the play of the hand, I think you raise preflop regardless here. Isolation is worthy in this hand, because the blinds are not chump change. Regardless of liking the hand or not, I think you can outplay these people on this flop.

I didn't want to isolate the CO. He was a player I didn't feel like messing with, being the only guy who could cripple me.

Well, picking up 800 here is a great option in my opinion. After limping aj though, I don't understand why you play off that BB raise. I would assume you would rather be the agressor in this situation, so why didn't you make it that way?
