tell me what you think, am I playing way to strong?

the pot was quite big on the turn, I didnt see any reason to let the hand go on? should I have got more chips outta this? I know I probably couldve with another 400 bet. Or if I felt like having some fun, check the turn, and rape him on the river?

heres another... this one I felt fine with.. easily one of them has a K or J, so there is the straight draw, on top of that they could have the flush draw... I dont know, maybe Im playing scared?

Hand 1 is fine, although him check calling on the flop, and then checking on the turn again, makes me wory a little bit, but thats probably cuz I overthink other peoples trickiness.

Either way pushing on the turn is a bad idea, in my opinion, why not 3/4 of the pot? Whose going to call your push, no one unless they know your beat.
  5. #5
Hand 2, Why not just bet the pot or a bit more than the pot on the flop, yes, its very coordinated and you dont want people to suck out on you, but doesnt pushing just get you very little when your ahead, and knocks you out when your very behind?

I don't think you played scared. You have made a large bet to protect your hand. I don't like slowplaying top pair so an opponent can outdraw you with medium two pair. Or top 2 pair with a straight possibility and a flush draw on board...why not take it here?

But I think all-in is a bit to risky ... make a pot sized bet or a bet he would only call if he has the nuts. If he has, well you loose most of your chips, but you are at least still in the tournament.

on the last hand .. thats at a new table, I have notes on this guy, says hes passive... which he obviously is.. limping kk, but.. I put him on an underpair and he thought I bet weak...

I really cant believe that river, I know I sucked him out, but jeezus, if I slow play kings, I get what I deserve, but when they do it..

I'm OK with all the plays, you win 100 % of the hands you don't take to showdown. in all cases there were several different 'bad' cards that could come off, but you wouldn't know which ones hurt and which ones don't - example [7c 5s Qh] [Tc]
    - if the club comes on the river do you fold to strenght, but maybe he was on the str8 draw instead... you forced them to make the choice instead of you.

I see that you might have played it scared if and only if you wanted to get no callers from this all in play.

KK board goes Q high, and you push? I would have put another bet out, to extract more chips then the river you push...

    AQ same thing...

Boost, personally I didn't like the way you played any of these hands. You were betting the pot wayyyyy too hard for my taste. You make some super agressive plays.

#1 - After you bet the flop, what type of hands do you put him on? With this monsterous of a hand, you can extract chips from this opponent. Betting almost 75% more than the pot was quite a silly move here. You want to extract chips out of players when you have a hand like this. A $1500 bet is more than adequate, and I think he calls you with his top pair, etc if he has it.

#2 - Yes there are draws on this flop, do you need to bet over 2x the pot to extract win the pot, no. This is a silly hand not to value bet, there were only 2 other people in the pot. Again, extracting chips from opponents in dominating situations like this one is key. Also, if he has a hand here, you are losing your whole stack.

#3 - Again, you flopped a monster for your jj, VALUE BET THIS. You're lucky this idiot was valuing TPTK way too heavily. 3 handed, I value bet this hand every time, the art of extracting chips is skill, quit pushing your raise bar as far as it goes every hand.

#4 - I think seeing a flop with a9 was a decent choice in this position. A little unfortunate that someone limped with kk.... As for the flop play, come on boost. TPTK is not a miracle hand, this guy could of easily limped with anything that has you beat, he throws down a solid reraise. You need to not make an ego call here, and make a good lay down. I think you can find a better position than this to make some chips.

i think your allin on hand 2 is a 'losing bet' you will only get called by a better hand (flopped straight).... or maybe a flush draw if your lucky. I think a pot size bet is sufficient here

yah.. I guess I took some peoples advice a bit far... I figured all the pots where big enough, and they needed to end there. The hand where I flopped TPTK with A9... that mightve been a bit dumb, I dont know. Iwa, typically Im all about traps, but on this tourney I was just getting pissed, and decide to end pots when they had enough chips to make me happy.

I really need to evaulate my game, I think Ive been slipping..
