Blinds aren't absolutely huge, but they will be getting too large for my stack soon, and i was just moved to this table so no solid reads on this player, except that he hadn't done anything outlandish yet.

My reasoning for calling was that my raise looked like a weak blind steal attempt, so to me his looked like a re-steal attempt. I thought the bet was too big for AA or KK and although a pocket pair is quite possible, it would probably just be a coinflip. I also thought it was quite possible that he could make this raise with AK, AQ and AJ, or even absolute crap in an attempt to re-steal. So that 's why i called, but i want to hear what you would've done in this situation.

I'll post what he had after a few responses.

Yeah, I'd call. I'd say he has AK or QQ/JJ. Maybe even a lower pocket pair..

Easy call. I would've pushed in the first place by the way. You're leaving yourself vulnerable to a stop and go. The blinds are already too big relative to your stack. You need to win as many blinds as possible, so that when you double up you win like 3 more BBs, and when you double up again you would have 6 more BBs than you would have had you not stolen the blinds earlier.
What's the difference between a large cheese pizza and a poker player?

A large cheese pizza can feed a family of four.

I think you should fold here, you still have a fine stack with 10BB. It could go either way here, I just typically don't like fliping for my stack, when I can find better ways to play the hand. Personally I would think he probably had some BS pocket pair 7-j. You can find better spots to be the agressor, especially when it's still early in the tourney.

Yeah, i don't mind a 10 bb stack, but in less than 5 minutes (can't remember exactly how much time) my stack would be a 7 bb stack.

As for what he had, he flipped over AKd and flushed out on me.

I got bad beated out of every tourney i played yesterday so i'm happy, i must be doing something right

I think it's a good call. You are unlikely to get this strong of a hand in the next 3-4 orbits and it's getting to the time when you have to push or fold. I'd have probably pushed ai to try and steal the blinds and then there is the possibility that homey would've folded to the possible pp if you had pushed.
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

Id call here based on what I thought of that player. Based on your chip stack Id probably call it except against the tightest of players. A read could swing it the other way.

i would fold just because you can pick a better spot thenthis....i would say at most you are a coinflip and at the worst you may be waaaayyy behind. I just dont like to be calling an all in with AK

I think if you're planning on folding to a re raise you should raise a little more initially, if you're looking to get into a flip to double up I like the play.
