Default Rada steal almost gone wrong, bust saved on the river.

haha I was so nervous during this play, my heart was racing, and my hands where shaking. I dont know why.. maybe because the time it took him to to call my flop raise(almost instant, normally they are on a draw)...

Did anything tell you he was trying to buy the pot or something with his flopbet of 200 chips? Because I wouldnt have tried to raise him, if I thought he had something - you are getting pretty potcommited with your raise after the flop, and a showdown would cripple you pretty hard.
Btw, dont listen that much to me, I've only played online poker for a month - but I would have folded on the river, unless I'm almost 100% sure he will fold to a raise.

wow, what did this guy have? KQ maybe, but that is a really weird bet to call on the turn... maybe KJ and he decided if you bet on the river he'd give you credit for the ace? Your bet on the turn should have either won the pot or been re raised AI, I think you both made mistakes, him not folding on the turn, you thinking you could win this pot on the river. I guess since he folded it must have been the str8 draw, but you must give him credit for at least a J when he calls the turn.

    wrong!

soupie steal: your in a pot, the flop checks around then the turn is checked to you. This is when you bet.

    the soupie steal

    Is this soupies trademark?
I have seen a steal like this a tons of times in the SnG's i play. I just reraise the raiser on the turn with about 2xhisbet and it will fold to you. Works almost everytime - except when someone slowplays or really hits something on the turn, but in the long run it has seemed profitable to me.

What buy-in SnGs do you play?

I think that if you don't push on the river, he pushes instead and you have to give it up at that point.

    pretty much...

    you raise preflop, 3 callers.

The flop comes, check check check.

The turn comes, check check, bet.

    soupies trademark sure...

corey... the soupie steal is when the pot is checked around, and last person to act takes an obvious stab at it, they just figure "meh.. no one else wants it, I guess Ill take it" instead of doing the obvious thing of folding, you think about it, and you decide this jerk is jsut picking up the pot.

edit: no sorry, I fucked up, what I described is that rada steal.. the soupie steal is when it checks around to you and you are last to act and you go for it, rada steal is raising someone that is on this steal..

oh, and I think this jerk was on a J. He just didnt show enough strength, thats how I feel. Possibly A/weak kicker, but I doubt this. Also a big possibility was KQ, people are morons. KQ JT QT KT, all possibly hands for this guy to limp. Im pretty sure it was JX though, he wanted to see what would happen on the turn, would I back off? My check on the flop was a bit weird, unless I was on 22, I could have checked Ax but then reraise? Or he might have had a crappy JX and feared he was out kicked possibly. My thoughts on the turn are, he is weak and I think he will lay it down, however I cant push here, he might make a curiosity call with second pair. I cant bet more then 500 because then I have nothing left on the river, so I stabbed, he cold called. My thoughts on the river are, I have 800 chips left and I built myself a huge pot, hes shown no strength, Im taking this one down.
You-- yes, you-- you're a cunt.

pfft get your steals right . The soupie steal is when the flop come and it gets checked around, then on the turn you bet. The Rada steal is when someone makes the soupie steal and you go over the top of them. Back to school for you boost!
