here are some hands i think he has based on preflop action (or lack thereof): KQo, Q6, K6, Kx, 66

I think you had him beat. Besides, top two pair at that point is pretty good.

this is why tight players need to read super system.... even if you're going to keep playing tight, you must understand how an aggresive player thinks... this guy I'm guessing has watched you fold hand after hand after hand, hits his flush/str8 draw and figures he'll test you.

Really a bad fold. You're beat by KK QQ - if he limped these and then flopped a set, pay him off. 66, once again, pay it off. Someone is not going to turn the nuts against you every time.

That's it. He could have AA, two pair, or about 1 million different draws.

Why would you even play KQ if you're folding when you make top two pair?

No way I fold that. If he has a set or something, he gets my money.
  6. #6
raise preflop push on flop. even if they hit a set most of the time you make money here.

    Yeah, this is just embarassing.

The only two cards I'm afraid of are 66. Period. This guy wouldn't have played KK or QQ this way.

At best he has KQ and we're chopping the pot. Most likely he has a straight draw or flush draw. Maybe both. If he has JcTc, he has 9 outs for the flush plus 6 outs for the straight. I'm still a favorite. I'm not crazy about putting all my chips in the pot as a 52% favorite. I assume my odds are better than this, though.

Practically, I put him on Q6.

Calling was not an option. It was fold or push. I mean, I can call, but the next card out is going to get the rest of my chips in no matter what.

Anyone know where I can get me some bigger balls? (Those pills they advertise are for the other bit, I assume??!? )

i think he was on a club draw, this is 101 out of doyles book.

no i dont think a club draw....i doubt the re-reraise on a club draw... but you should have been all in in a heartbeat against this guy...you probably had him dominated

You can not fold this. Consider that folding in spots like this too much gives other players license to run you over. Fail that, you probably have the best hand. The over-bet on a draw-heavy board smells really bad.

I doubt that a whole lot at 25NL have any idea how much EasyT has folded so far, or even know what in the hell a Supersystem2 by doyle brunson is (some kinda tae bo?)

Most likey he has complete trash so you push on him. Plus, a lot of those fools feel the need to play sets slower than that. If you're behind to a set, well just hope you fill up.

he bet way too much to have a set of 6's

this bet screams, get the f' off this hand

so either a pure bluff, or OESD or flush

pure bluff would be stupid ... a better question is why no raising preflop with the probable best hand.

Quite frankly, 98 times out of 100 that pot is yours. If it's one of those 2 times, cry a little and get over it, otherwise, TAKE HIS MONEY $$$

    I wouldn't go that far. I'll buy that he's ahead here 85%+.

Yeah, just using it as a figure of speech. You have to play with that mentality though, otherwise you'll find yourself folding alot more than 15% of the time.

Yeah, the strongest hand you can put this guy on is 6-6. He would've reraised preflop with K-K or Q-Q, and he would have to have the only two remaining kings or queens in the deck if he were to have either of these hands. Essentially, you are only losing to one remotely likely hand, while you're probably up against a couple other strong hands that are almost drawing dead. I would move all-in.

I actually just got involved in a hand that was almost identical to this, except the other guy had top two pair, and I actually did have bottom set.

Well, thats very promising to hear.

My aces got busted by two pair today. How come my two pairs never bust aces? Because the board counterfeits me every SDJ@#*ing time.

Dont go thinking your 2 pairs are god every time, but on a board like this, you're probably good.

why in the world did you limp in with KQs??

why in the world did you limp in with KQs??
I usually raise 3x from early position with this. I don't know why I limped here. I know I was on a terrible run of cards and, well, just being timid.

The whole hand was timid as you can see. I should have quit that table, or quit altogether. My mindset was not where it needed to be: Aggressive.

If I'm having a bad run of cards and see this kind of board......Without a doubt I push since this is probably the best hand if seen in along time and are only behind to a couple hands......

If he has a set, you know your done, and you can come back tomorrow fresh.
