Perhaps it's a style thing, but I guess I didn't think about it this way. I suppose I was thinking in terms of value betting to reel him in on the river, rather than making him follow you AI on the turn. You obviously had a read on the guy which made you move in. Thus, your rationale of comparing upsides of either move makes sense to me. Thanks for the explanation.
