Well I've been playing LHE for the past 2 or 3 months and want to start into the NL area, for both tournies and ring since I'm finding LHE just a plain old grind. I decided to try out parties mini-steps since placing 5th or higher gives you a freeroll to try again. I did pretty decent, although i never won. Tourney 1 I got 3rd, same with tourney 2, then I got 2nd in tourney 3.

It was weird. I made a few wicked calls on some pots and got lucky on a few (needs to happen sometimes). I also was "the big stack" in the last one so I got to feel what it's like. How you can lean on the smaller stacks and make a few more looser calls. Hopefully I can pull out a first soon and get my freeroll into the next level!
