    Default Party's daily $20 / $15 tourneys

Hey y'all. I was looking around at PP's MTT's, and they seem to be getting really popular. Too bad they only have a few relatively "cheap" ones every day, usualyl at 6:45 and 7:40 (random times, i know ). I don't usually dabble much in them (MTT's), but I do every once in a while for shits and giggles. I've won two of them, both at Royal Vegas. A $2 NL tourney I entered 'cause I was bored one night, and another one. It was a "Saturday League" type of thing, back when I was still playing exclusively on Royal Vegas and was accumulating something like 300 hadns a day for 2 months straight: got a $300 prize for a "freeroll", though I'm sure this really worked more like rakeback. :P

Well, anyway, I sat down at one fo those $20 NL PP MTT's, just to test thw waters. I didn't really know what to expect; well the turnout was the biggest shock: 1300 people!!! Holy crap!!!
Also, I noticed, the level of play seems to be at a level substantially um...dumber?...than I would expect at a $20 NL tourney. For the higher buy in tourneys (relatively) on RVP, people played smart and stuff. Two people bluffed their entire stacks into me on ace high, the second time when there was four to a straight on the board. I ended up busting after trippling up when KK fell to AK and when a guy I was bluffing called with bottom pair and a gutshot straight draw when there were already three diamonds on the flop (he had J 9 spades).

So I'm not really sure how I should treat these tourneys now...as somewhat of a very poorly talented type of tourney, or as what I think a $20 tourney should play like.

What are you experiences with these? The potential payouts are huge with 1000+ people sitting down every time, but I figure you have to dodge so many suckouts that it may be almost physically impossible to ever get to the top.

Do any of y'all play and how do y'all play them? Don't even try to bluff until something like leve 8 or 9 or something? Just play your hand up until then and then let Joe Shmoe bluff into in teh meanwhile? Problem is, early on, I can't tell what anybody has, because for all I know, they could have a set, or two pair, or ace high...because they all play crazy, and whenver one person busts, another person, who's even crazier, with even more chips, sits down.

I can't really use anything I know about MTT aggression or any of that, because they'll call me!!!

Any advice is, as always, greatly appreciated.

I play the 15+1 on a regular basis (lower rake). Suprisingly, the 15+1 games have a higher level of compitition than the 20+2 ones in my opinion.

And no, I haven't found a way to deal with mid-game agression (my other post was about this). Maybe Party MTTs are just too loose/big to place ITM consistantly?

I seriously do a lot better playing 200+15 200k guaranteed games than 20+2 25k guaranteed. If you want to go fishing, go for single table SnGs... if you want to test your skills for cheap, go for 15+1 (after the crazies go out). Otherwise, the 200+15 level provides a suprising number of bad players and good number of by the book predictably weak players. (And you can get there for cheap if you have time... just play a lot of qualifiers... I hit about 1 in 5... if only I had a bigger bankroll...)
