ok, this may look like a dumb play... i was trying to buy a nice pot and put me up big stacked. I almost alwsy win with a stack so i thought it was a good play..

2nd hand at final table, no reads on this guy, i'm seen as a tight player up to this point. very tight. he doesnt have a read on me tho.

Nope, your play seems fine to the overall tournament. You pushed with your big stack, and he hit something to push back. Maybe triped a pocket pair, maybe an overpair.

he pushed WITH big stack? I thought he was pushing big stack and I thought you weren't ever supposed to do that without a read.

(preflop I wouldd raised 750 instead of 900, but that's minor... postflop for 300 chips I would have called... hope an A or K comes and he reps it. if he had a set, he wouldn't be scared of you at all and why put a 300 chip bet that could scare a guy away when you can just check? otherwise, unless he was holding AA or KK, you have him if you hit either card. the backdoor flush is also a bonus... anyway, if you make the call, 3flush comes, he bets, THEN if you re-raise him he'll be a lot more scared... you'll also have significant odds at that point to re-raise all in if he re-raises. Just saying, calling the 300 chip bet was a minimal investment for possibility of huge payoffs... re-raising was a bigger risk.).
