Default Thoughts about my play here....

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (9 handed) converter

    MP2 (t715)
    MP3 (t4305)
    CO (t7580)
    Button (t3325)
    Hero (t4665)
    BB (t4625)
    UTG (t3725)
    UTG+1 (t3870)
    MP1 (t2035)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8, 8.
    4 folds, MP3 calls t200, 2 folds, Hero raises to t1000, 1 fold, MP3 calls t800.

    Flop: (t2200) 3, A, 5 (2 players)
    Hero bets t1600, MP3 calls t1600.

    Turn: (t5400) K (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets t600, Hero folds.

    Final Pot: t6000

Note that I had everyone covered, and they didnt raise preflop.

    1) should i have pushed preflop instead?

    2) should i have bet the flop diffrently?

    3) I know I folded to just a 600 bet, but he was pot commited, and if I had called the 600 I would have felt pot commited.

    Q. Is poker Gambling?
    A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

Big pot to lose. He had an A and it was very obvious you weren't shaking him.

My question would be: Is there something you could have done on the flop that would have given you the same information without costing you so many chips?
I don't know what they have to say
    It makes no difference anyway.
    Whatever it is...
    I'm against it.

You almost have pot odds to call the 600... I'd be tempted just to see what he did on the river. If he had a real A he played the hand very strangely... Maybe Ax hearts so didn't fear the draw... that or AA are really the only two hands that make sense... can't see someone limping then calling 4x more with AQ on down out of position.
