    Default Crappy Kings

First of all id like to thank everyone here for there sound advice which has helped me out a great deal. Ive final tabled in MTT's 5 times in 2 months taking two 4ths and three 8ths. My question is on playing pocket Kings. It seems everytime I get dealt this hand I loose. I raise 3 or 4x BB and usually will get 1 or 2 callers, which is good. But every time the flop comes down there is always an Ace. So 1 of the callers runs all in and I usually will call. Sure enough buddy called my raise with baby Ace preflop and i end up loosing a good portion of my stack. This seems to happen everytime I get dealt this hand. Can anyone shoot some pointers my way as to how to play this hand? Im starting to think this is a limp in hand and then getting out of dodge when the ace hits the board.

You just have horrible luck with the Kings. THey are a good hand and you must raise with them. I gurantee you that hte day you start limping with KK is the day your going to start complaining that people "suck out" on you by hitting their 2 pairs. An ace doesnt come everytime you have kings. Im sure you have hit many flops where there wasnt an ace.

What you need to do. Raise preflop to limit the field. If there is an ace on the flop, you bet at it. If you get callers you slow down and reevaluate your hand.

    himself fucker.
If you think you're beat, you gotta lay it down.

Is your opponent likely playing an ace? Will he push with a hand that is losing to KK?

It just seems that players put alot of value into Ax and will call anything with it. Maybe I am just unlucky with the Kings. I will continue with the 4x BB raise and the punch out a bet post flop if the action is checked to me and see where i stand. Also, I stick with the 5 to 10 dollar MTT's so maybe that is part of the reason why they call with Ax. If I raised say 6 or 7x BB do u think that would push them off their hand?

why would you CALL an all-in with KK with an A on the board. its only the 2nd best hand preflop...its garbage on that flop. unless you have a serious read, muck it asap.

Well don't call then. Your beat. No one goes all in with an ace on the board with less than a pair of aces. It's the easiest read on the planet.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Early and mid tourney, I overbet Kings, 6-8x BB to make it tough for even the biggest Ace whore to call. If that Ace hits, I will still rep it and have had to laydown or slowdown my Kings depending on mr. whore's action It does seem like an Ace hits when you have pocket Ks 3out 4 times doesn't it....It is a conspiracy!!
