Just played a weekly MTT, finished 4th last week and 7th just now from over 300 entrants (27 paid).

I was quite pleased with how it went as a whole, so I thought I'd post these four history's up as some of the hghlights.

A theme had occurred of people putting in moderate raises in early positions and then folding out, this guy I'd seen do it specifically so I tested him and then well, well, I've already said how stupid I was.

Some interesting hands...

Hand 1: Any read on this guy? I have a tough time deciding when to call a raise on my blind at this stage. Once you called the blind, the rest of the hand looked fine. You have 15 outs, and hopefully all of them are good.

Hand 2: Ballsy. You must have had a good read on this guy. Well done.

Hand 3: Tough one. If the guy doesn't have the Ace you look like a genius. Personally without a great read I lay this one down and look to steal the chips back elsewhere. You still had plenty of life here.

Hand 4: Meh. You gambled that you could bluff him off his call. Once he reraised you had a lot of money invested already. Did you have a read on this guy? If you were willing to go that far with the hand, pushing your stack right away might have been the better bet. Put the entire decision on him...

I personally find these decisions tough. When you look back on them, they look idiotic. You tend to forget all the ones where you're shaking but then they work.

i think the a8o hand is fine. the guy didn't reraise preflop. i see people do this all the time with any ace.

For the 1st hand I figured the raise to be a bit timid, he'd been a little more agro than that, but this wasn't a cetain read. I was fully prepared to represent most any flop.

On the 2nd, yer I had him read like a book, I was quite proud of myself, which is why I posted. I was personnally reponsible for taking some half of his chips before he bottomed out on what might have been a slightly tilted all in.

The last two I really posted to remind myself how bad I am capable of playing. I didn't have a certian read on the other two players and just sort of decided at the time that because they all limped nobody would have an Ace. Lord knows how I twisted my thoughts around that one. I found though that despite loosing a big stack of chips I kept my head and reminded myself that I was still in the richer half of the field. I didn't tilt at all after loosing, in fact I think I started to play better!

That final hand, you have a good point I should have pushed AI from the flop bet if I was going to do it or better yet preflop. I didn't plan ahead at the time and well, I'll try not to do it again.
