Default Question about middle pairs late in tourney?

A situation I sometimes struggle with is playing mid-pocket pairs when the blinds get to be a decent portion of your stack. Also, if it is raised to you, how do you play it? A big portion of my tournament game especially late is based on aggression and stealing. In other words, I like to be the one doing the raising. Say the blinds are at .30/.60 and you have ~ 9=10 bucks. It is raised to 3 bucks to you and you have 7-7. I personally hate these situations because I cant afford to call and see the flop. I feel like if I fold I have enough chips, and enough abillity to steal blinds, to survive and find a better spot to double up. I will oftentimes lay this down, but the higher it is, the harder it gets. Also, knowing who is making the raise helps, (home game and I know the people) but as a general guideline, how do you play mid-PP's later in a tourney.

it realyl depends on your stack size, and everyone elses stack size. When your down to less than 10xBB almost everypair is a good pushing pair. When you are in stealing, almost any pair is good to steal with.

When someone raises before you, you cant steal. Would you be willing to call off 1/3 of ur stack on 77? Would you resteal with 77? Are youw illing to commit ur stack on a resteal with 77? Probably no for all three questions. So fold. YOu can fin dbetter spots.

If the blinds are increasing and someone raises, easy fold. (depending on your stack size)

I usually limp in with mid pocket pairs and if someone raises I fold. I have found that works outstanding for me because if I call the raise and all over cards hit on the flop, you just donated.

Also if you would have hit the set on the river, don't sweat it, would you really want to draw out with all over cards and then NOT hit?

Yeah I dont really let it concern me what "would have hit" because there is usually a right play for a certain situation and if you make it then it doesnt matter if you would have flopped a boat or something out of rags

i raise with these when i'm big stack if no one has raised before me.

i call a raise if it is less than 10% of my stack and the raiser he me covered OR if its less than 10% of the raiser's stack. from here i will play for set value, but will sometimes be agressive postflop if my read says they have no pair.

ill push with any pair if i have less than 10bb.

I definitly raise 7-7 if no one has raised before me, because then I am more in control of the hand as the aggressor

Also, the stacks are usually more than 10x BB, we play 10$ buy in, you get 10$ in chips, blinds start at .10/.20 and go up every half hour .20/.40, .30/60, .40/80, .5/1.00 so it ussually progresses at a decent pace
