    Default Tilting bad! :(

Well this morning I came home from work and played about 5 $10-$1 SnGs and busted out in 4th 4 out of the 5 SnG's. I lost my whole bankroll and it wasn't much but I am just disappointed in myself for letting myself tilt.

Any suggestions to stop TILT and how to prevent it?

Yesterday I was doing well placing in almost every SnG and I know it wasn't over confidence tilt.

Please help before I reload in a couple days to start all over.

    Hi. Don't do that again.

    P.S. Play within your BR.

If you lost you entire BR playing 5 SnG's you were playing way outside your BR in the first place. The reasoning behind sound bankroll management is that it allows you to go thru a rough stretch like you did and still have money to play with when the cards and luck go your way.
Holy crap I cant play against Yoda!!

You will need 20-25 buyins to play at a level. Your BR was barely sufficient for playing the 5+.5s. If anything you need to play a site that provides you with lower buyin SNGs. My initial BR for playing the 5.5s was 120 bucks.

set a minimum BR for urself, when you are under that minimum you dont play sng's.

I'm sticking to that system on pokerstars. When i get below my initial minimum deposit (50$) i stop playing sng's and get back to ring games.
I mostly play Limited Hold'em on 4 tables at once. This way i cant go all-in and loose my minimum buy-in at once.
I noticed when i just play on 1 table i get bored and start playing with mediocre hands just to see some action.

Just make some boundaries which you wont cross, that way you wont loose ur whole BR on sng's

To get off tilt I don't allow myself to play until I clear my head (2-3 days at least). If you're tilt-prone then I would suggest not getting into NL ring - this is where I have lost the most while tilting. Maybe you should find a site where you can play $2 SnGs (royal vegas had them last time I played there) to build up your BR and strengthen your game. Good luck.
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

Thanks everyone so far, I know I was defiantly playing out of my BR but I cannot stand the $5-$1 on PP. People will call ANYTHING and catch anything on the turn and river.

Ah well when I reload I will defiantly play inside my BR now. I am thinking about playing on the cheap Royal Vegas SnGs or PS's (which I reload $100).

    Thanks again, keep them coming.

What helps me get off tilt is to force myself to play super tight for a while. I will join a S n G and I will basically stick to Hellmuths Top 15 for a while. Not the whole tourney, but I stick with it until at least 3 to 4 people are eliminated and I have won one or two decent sized pots. At this point I start to feel much better because I feel like I have played smart poker and have shown good self decipline. Now I can loosen up my game again.

It may not work for everyone, but I have kept myself off serious tilt by doing this.

yeah, after it's down to that many, you can stop playing hellmuth's best and play as the players he hates

Do this, and I think another rule they say is to not risk 10% of your BR on a given day. That way if you are having a bad day it won't completly kill your bank roll
