Default I'm confuzzed by this hand

I think the fold is obvious, but it is during a rebuy period which changes things slightly. Thoughts?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (9 handed) converter

    UTG+1 (t5012)
    MP1 (t5120)
    MP2 (t2676)
    MP3 (t2985)
    CO (t5133)
    Button (t9363)
    SB (t4715)
    BB (t3140)
    Hero (t3246)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A, A.
Hero calls t100, 4 folds, CO calls t100, Button calls t100, SB completes, BB checks.

    Flop: (t500) 2, 4, 5 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets t500, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls t500.

    Turn: (t1500) 6 (2 players)
    BB bets t1500, Hero folds.

    Final Pot: t3000

if its during rebuy period, why try to slowplay?? there always seems to be players willing to call a big raise in the rebuy period.

Preflop, I was expecting a big raise by someone at the table. Though people are willing to take their shots, I think a big UTG raise still gets some respect.

I can understand why you would limp if you were really, really sure a certain player would raise based on previous action.
I personally raise 2.5-3x w/ As or maybe even overbet it to look weak if there is an aggressive player still to act. They usually sense your overbet is a small pair and try to push you out of the pot with a re-raise...

Not obvious to me - it looks more like he had something like 99 and wasn't sure if he wanted to commit a bunch of chips with two more possible overs to come, then once then turn is another rag he decides to shut you down in case you're drawing. If he had the str8 why would he bet out here?
