If you have HoH it summarizes in the first couple pages what Vol I and II cover.

is negreanu and hanson's book out yet?

i never finished harrington's first book, but it kick started me into beating the rake from the getgo and soon improving to an earning player. I will definitely buy book 2. I guess that's going to cover later tourny play with high blinds?

I love the football analogy. It is perfect. His book was really the first one that pulled tournament play strategy together and went beyond the tired 'NLHE 101' tips found in every other book.

didnt know hansen and daniel were going to put one out.

would be interesting to look inside their minds ... although if daniel starts talking about that horrid game called triple draw,i think i'll puke.

I liked harringtons first book, its great for the first part of a tournament on how to survive and make a few chips while doing so..

and this one is "turn into an animal" and take stacks.

He also seemed to come in only with position and/or naked aggression. The ESPN commentary mentioned that he RARELY--if ever--came in from a blind without raising. Then later in the tournament he called once, and everyone shat.

Triple draw does look like a lot of vomit, but supposedly its popularity as an ultra high stakes games is growing, and its also rotated in those multi-game super high stakes tables as well.

So, if you plan on playing $4,000-$8,000 limit any time soon you better get to readin!
