Raise the flop, there are too many scare cards that can screw your hand over to slow play here, Especially with someone who is probably min-betting their draw. Call the turn if it is reasonable to draw to the boat.

Agreed. You gotta bet the shit out of that flop. You a vulnerable here.

with a set on the flop you want to raise a a flop that could destroy ur hand on the turn. With the possible straight draw, and the possible flush draw out there, you must raise. I would be more afraid of the flush than the straight, although his bettin on the river seems to be out of place.

His huge bet at the end does not neccesarily mean that the Ace has helped him. Though if it HAS helped him, it had made him the straight. The problem with that is that he would also kno that he had been beaten by a flush, which could have been possible on the turn. Therefore I think that he would only be betting so big on the river if he had hit his flush.

The flop in this hand is not a good spot for a slowplay. The flop is way too cordinated - don't allow the other player in the hand to draw against you.

    Obviously bet that flop....

but afterwards only thing you might beat here is AJ, I think he has flush draw, maybe A-8 or K-8 depending on how he plays. It might be a call but I've seen so many people lately min bet then huge bet the river when they flopped or turned the nuts.

You'll hear this alot on this hand:

raise the flop - he's on a flush draw so you need to make
him pay his way. You have about 3 to 1 odds so make it
    expensive for him.

If he's not on the flush draw you have him beat. If he is,
he may fold 40% of the time to a solid flop bet.

If he draws a flush, put the brakes on and pray.

Edit: it may be a flush or straight draw. Same applies.

Coordinated and suited flop = very bad mojo for flopped sets. Again really rasie big on the flop....The weakturn bet was not a trap, he was checking to see if you made the flush....weak bet and the flush or straight will come back over the top. He just wanted to know where he was in the hand. I'm thinking he made 2-pair with that ace on the river A-J or A-T or even A-7s maybe.
Of course it is possible he made a baby flush and was testing the waters as well. Since you didn't play back at him when the flush card hit, he hoped the A on the end hit you.
I'm thinking your set is good, but I am still folding...not many chips invested, why turn a bad play into a potential disaster.

Long story short...you could have avoided being in that situation. It is not necessary to slowplay every flopped set....particularly when you get a bad flop like that.
