This was a tough one for me. I think I should have just called the $15 since the pot was big enough already instead of opening up the betting for more raises but I thought they would be passive and I could get another $45 in the pot without this happening.

that's really tough. Hard to just call the river with the nut flush, even if it's not the pure nuts. It could just be a really aggressive T or smaller flush.

Maybe he also just really didn't appreciate your minraise on the river and wanted to put you to the test.

You did read them as passive, however. I think you may need to lay this down.

With normal stacks i'd probably call that if they were somewhat fishy. Its the deep stacks that make it a tough decision. There are some players where i'd call this pretty easily, but other players where i might fold.

I can't give you a good answer but i probably would end up calling off my stack in most cases.

    Those stacks are somewhat deep.

He could quite easily just have a TX or a KXs for the flush. I would probably call this if the all-in was for $80 less. But I think in this situations you're probably forced to lay down. That's a tight one, though.

I'm not sure I could lay this down, but I wouldnt be surprised to see him flip 9T, in fact i'd almost expect it... but I dont know the skills of the people at that level, at my level i'd call that all day long.

i folded, he had a flush, and i was pissed off for about an hour. I wish I could have caught him pushing his big stack against mine with crap like that again but it didnt happen.

Yeah with the flush it introduces alot more hands that he would make that same move with. It really looked like he was trying to slowplay his set, which became a boat on the turn. Tough hand.

This is a very tough decision, it's difficult to put him on the flush considering his flop call. Depending on the player, I might lay this down. I play 25NL though, and I'd probably call this bet, even with the deep stacks, in that game. In this game, I might have made the same laydown.

Almost any time I have a flush on a paired board, I'm willing to just call. If they come back over the top of you on the end you have no idea where you're at, so don't reopen the betting - just close it off with a call.
