I KNEW i was ahead after his pause on my check raise. I basically left myself with 600 chips but I would've folded if he had come over the top.

Push Preflop to steal the blinds.

I am on the edge of pushing the flop. I mean if you believe ur pot commited if ur betting, you might as well push. No Need to drag it out.

THEN AGAIN. The question is, would a preflop raiser who hit trip kings or TPTK, push? No he would most likely drag it out and try and milk the money. So then you must think about what the opponent thinks you have.

I'm confused, how can you be pot commited if you bet out on the flop, but not pot commited if he raises you?

Honestly I don't understand what this guy could have had - I would assume another PP, but then why would he call your re raise, maybe K with a bad kicker, he's hoping a high card will come off and maybe get a split. Bizzare.

I think you played it well, check raise is logical if you have a solid K here, and I agree if he comes over the top you're beat. I can't see pushing after the flop, you aren't getting called unless you are beat.

When you are shorter stack, you need to consider an AI on JJ.

Textbook "bet for information" case. I think $400 should do it.
He's got fewer chips that you so he is not calling without the K.

Edit: I see he called the check raise for another card. Dumb.
You got the information (the pause) you needed and got the call.
You got the best of both. He then needed a little more convincing
    on the turn bet.

well at ur stack size im going all in pre flop to take the blinds or hopefully coin-flip with ak/aq to double up or bust. but 3xbb raise isnt enough for me as a shortstack i like all in or fold. on the flop im all in hoping he doesnt have ak because ur allrdy pot commited IMO 6xbb isnt a position i wanna be in. ild rather bust out here trying to take some chips then be blinded out later

just go allin preflop, or call the blind and push if someone raises you. if no one does raise and the flop is scary you can still let it go without being pot comitted.
