    Default Early SNG hand

I put the guy on a flush and/or straight draw and decided it would not be wise to risk my SNG right there. What do you guys think?

Ahhhhh. Don't fold top two pair! You will be ahead in more situations than not.

yes, ditto on what gabe said... just hope he doesn't turn over a set!

does anyone know the % of someone flopping a set when you hit 2 pr?

He couldn't have a set, only about 5% of monkeys will all-in with a set, the great majority will slowplay or minraise. I was just wondering, assuming your opponents were on a flush or straight draw (or any other draw, like one pair + overcards), how liberally you would go about risking your tourney life on the first 3 hands when a better opportunity is likely to come up.

In case anyone cares, I finished 3rd and the AA guy finished 5th or 6th.

I woulda pushed all in also. The chances that he was holding the straight are slim on the flop. His bet didn't say I'm on the flush draw. He was clearly repping a set or very High Pair. He made that bet to chase away others on the draw. So you were clearly in control at that point. You shoulda came back over the top of him, because that would have had to make him worry about wether or not you in fact had the set or two pair.

Not a chance in a zillion I'm folding here. If he's on flush draw and hits--oh well start the next tourney--else you got a good shot at taking this one down...(I never play single table sngs though...) Also even if he does have a lucky flush draw u have a chance for a boat (infact he only has 7 outs...).

I agree that fold was terrible. In retrospect and with a little more experience at these, I can say I'll safely call that 100% of the time from now on

Nononono... don't CALL that 100% of the time, push all-in 100% of the time! Make him pay to try to draw out on you, and give yourself another chance to win (him folding). You also want to isolate the bettor (guy with AA). Gutshot moron likely doesn't call the all-in so your chances of winning a decent pot increase (4 fewer outs to worry about).

Just so you know it's the majority opinion, AI all day.

Curious on the general thoughts on the bet size here? Looks like you put out a PS bet, which is what I would have done as well.

Anyone over bet since even though the PS should kill draw odds, one caller may bring everyone else in? Plus the pot is still small to stack size, so flush draw may call a PS.

    Or check hoping to CR?
