    who has KJ?

ick. Thanks for another reminder of why not to play kojak... you have to think two pair or set or AK/KQ re raises on the flop, I would agree you're probably beat here with three in drawing.

I probably wouldn't raise this preflop in a PP $5 SnG, I generally play super tight early.

The flop play is fine by my standards.

The turn is pretty tight, but I think a push is ok here, if the J has made someone's straight, you'd be unlucky, but you'd still have 6 outs to your boat. If anyone has made a better hand by the turn, which I feel is unlikely, you have outs to still improve further.

So what hands do you put these guys on? It just seems like someone HAS to have the 10 8 or Q 10. Two with a K and one with... I dunno, A9? I'll admit I'm amazed at the bad plays I see posted here at the 5 level but still... if you aren't beat on the flop, it seems like the J must to it.

He still thinks it was a good play, I cant seem to explain it to him that it was horrible.

Isn't he in the SB, not BB?

I could understand this play better if it was from position. Raising preflop here I think only sets up two situations...a very lucky flop (two pair-trips) or a post-flop steal. Flop was okay, but not great, and with no information on the other hands, a bet here has got to be for a steal...is 40% of the pot a good steal bet? Either way, it didn't work.
