I think your flop bet was a little too much. His all in didn't make it too much more to call, so I can understand why you called after you bet so much.

I wouldn't have put so many chips into mid pair. Bet like 300-450 and if he raises huge or goes all in, it's time to fold.

If the pot was bigger on the flop, you could have pushed the flop in an attempt to just pick it up.

You could also check raise him all in as a semibluff.

You have 9 Diamonds, 2 Kings, If he donest have AQ, 3 queens as outs. Thats 14 outs.

If you think its time for u to pick up the pot, or make a move, this is a fine time to do it. Your at a coinflip to win the hand and pick up quite a few chips.

you just moved to the table and your play is a min raise with KQs? Barf.

I like VQ's CR idea. You know someone has an Ace, you could have repped a monster hand and maybe folded them out. No fold equity to your bet.

Being in the position I was, i didnt think the preflop raise was that bad, the flop came pretty good for me, though I knew he had the ace- out me in a position to double up and get a monster stack..I dont think my play was that bad!

    Thanks vq,

he was probably ready to push or call AI with aces anyhow, and I DID feel it was a good time to make a move- just didnt work out, thats all , with the turn and river cards coming, I liked my chances.... plus it left me with 8x the BB even if I lost! thanks for your comments

CRAP. Always forget the runner runners. make it 15.5?
Miller always counts the backdoor draws as 1.5.

I just learned this one from HoH2 this morning while taking a dump.
    15.5x4-(15.5-8)
    62-7.5 = ~54.5% to win the hand.

    Anyone want to check that?

Don't take it personal, I hate the min raise always. Still if raising KQ I think you want to raise at least 3x to give yourself a chance to win pre flop. After the flop I'm not critciting your play, just pointing out you're unlikely to fold the A playing the way you did, CR MIGHT have done it. Once you bet and he moves over the top the call is correct IMO.

    Thanks drm,

I dont really make the min raise very much actually..... it is kinda weak huh? Well after seeing the other out (runner runner) shown above, I guess I did do the right thing after the flop- i had outs I didnt even see!! lol
