Everyone should read SS/SS2, even though it's more aimed at high stakes the concepts are just too good. Even if you can't/won't play his style, a lot of people are and it will help you deal.

For tourneys Harrington's first book is great, and VQ is pimping part two like there is no tomorrow. I guess it's toward intermediate to advanced, but really the only thing he doesn't cover in depth that beginners need is starting hands.

Cloutier's book on NL/PL tourneys is good for beginners, not much meat tho.

TOP? Yep. Although its contents are more applicable to limit cash than to NLHE.

    HOH? Yep. Self-explanatory

Psychology of Poker deals with evaluating yourself and your opponents, and how to adapt your play style to their own. It needs to be backed up by something more theoretically and strategically rigorous to reach its full potential though.
