Live Tournament question!

Hi guys,

this weekend I have 2 Live Tournaments to play. Each one will have something about 50-70 players, I guess.

Question:

How do you guys experienced in tournament play in the early stages?

Do you try to double up in every edge you have?

I love to play when blinds get to level 4 and on (50/100), but it's much more sweet if your stack let's your comfortable.

I never had any success in MTT. (well, once I got 3rd in a 500 players freeroll lol)

I would appreciate your insights!

I just played a $25 40 person MTT at a local club last night. You will be amazed at how shitty the players can be. I have very limited live play experiece and I picked up tells on 5 of the 9 players at the table with me within 20 minutes.

Expect people to fish and call to the river with any 2 cards. I played tight for the first few blinds, but looking back I think I should have loosened up just a bit when I was able to get into pots cheaply.
