Depends on the level.
If its early on, I fold it. Maybe if there are ALOT of limpers, I would call to see a flop.

If its on the bubble during stealing situations, its a stealing hand for me.

Early on Ill limp it if there are limpers before me and I think that the blinds wont raise. If no limpers to me, I will usually fold since the blinds arent worth stealing, I wont get good odds to draw (usually), and I dont want to play a big pot early with 89s.

Later on I will steal with it though in a situation.

Middle suited connectors give you about a 1 in 4 chance of
flopping a flush draw or an OESD. This means you need at
least a few hands in to get you value on your bet.

I'll limp in from late position if I have a couple of limpers
ahead of me early in the game and try to get my draw.

This is also a good hand to steal blinds with when short
handed: you have the draw possibilities, the pair possibilities
and you can represent Hollywood cards out of late position.
My strategy is to raise them and if I do get called, bet out
on the draw, Hollywood, or M/TP.

If there is a 3bb raise, and 2-3 callers, I will call ONLY if I have a healthy stack. You often get put in difficult situations and with more chips it makes making the correct desition easier.

I once took 3 players out on the same hand late in a tourny when all 3 players had lower stacks then be and all 3 went AI on the flop. I hit my OESD and was forced to call. That was fun hearing everyone bitch. (2 over pairs and a set of Ts.)

Early on with deep stacks compared to blinds I'll call 3-4x with 89s IN position even if I think the pot will be HU.
