I mainly play SnG's but like to play ring games (high stakes ) every so often.

This was only my third hand since sitting down but i could see that Banter04 liked to bet big - first hand he went allin for a $1.70 pot - then said "sorry wrong button".

After the hand he questioned my call - which made me think was it a bad call - I put him on a K or more than likely a flush draw - i believed i had the best hand so i called quickly.

So what do you think?

The guy defintely showed signs up being the typical maniac, you played it completely right. Im not suprised he only had bottom pair, since maniacs tend to go all in with those holdings espically at those low of stakes.

yeah - think i just needed reassured that it was the right call and wasn't missing something - obviously depends on your read of the player.

Like i said in the first post i don't play a lot of ring games, but in the games i have played i've noticed there does seem to be a few maniacs who think all they have to do is go allin to win a pot.
