NH. If you knew he would go over the top of you this was a perfect play. I'll slow play aces preflop if I'm HU. Why show him your strength - so he can fold? Why you let the timer run out I don't know tho, there was $0 behind. I let the timer run down when I flop a monster and I have to call a flop bet hoping he'll go ai on the turn. Grats.
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

Theeggman - This was exactly what i was thinking he would do - me and him had a few battles so i must have taken it personal as i was being a bit wide to let the timer run down - like you say no point in this situation to do that.

I do the same - had AA the other day raised PrF 3 callers - xKx on the flop first guy goes allin - i put him on AK or KQ - i'm next so i let the timer run down then go allin - next guy folds - last guy goes allin - blank on turn and river.

First guy had AK other guy had K10.

next hand after that AA again

Wow, that's cool letting the timer run down when you know you have someone beat. I wish I could waste other peoples time and inflate my small ego like you do.

come on man... none of us here care that you busted someone with pocket aces after being childish and letting the timer run down. If you're acting weak and trying to get more chips out of him thats one thing, but he's already all-in. Weak play. I have no respect for you and i'm not going to respond to anything else you say in this thread. I'm sure others agree with me.

I dont agree with either of you.

    1) Dont have a penis wagging contest over the internet.
    2) Snot_III, if you dont like his play, do not insult him, just tell him you dont like his play.
    3) Gareth, I can understand your need to fight back, but you dont need to perpetuate the argument.

    CHILL OUT or GET OUT.

I agree, I can't think of one reason to post this besides that you were proud of your uber slow roll skillz. At least take it to Tales of Poker so I don't have to read it.

    just to let everyone know.

This hand DOES illustrate a good point.
If the BB is an aggressive player who, when he SB limps, will go over the top, much like I do, It is a good idea to just complete with a mosnter hand in the hopes that he does indeed push over you.

The contestation at hand, apparently, is that the OP let the time bank run a while before calling.

I'm not looking for any daft pointless argument's.

I just don't like being attacked from someone who is not capable of taking it back.

I've already said I agree it was daft to let the timer run down - sometimes we do things that are pointless then wish we hadn't later.

Yeah maybe i did post this in the wroung forum and yes i was happy with my play/read (apart from the timer).

No respect snot_III - Aye cool

What you said was what i was trying to show - about how to trap an aggressive BB when u have a monster in the SB.

I would even say it is worth calling with an an average hand/bad hand and if he raises then fold so it sets this play up nicely if you do get a monster.

He's talking about calling the BB. He waited a while to call it. I think it's a good play when you're against an aggressive player. I doubt anyone is going to side with you.

btw gareth, I bet that flop scared you.

this post has "look at me!" all over it, but i will say that is a good move to just complete with AA. that said however, what is the big deal? you make it sound like you made some amazing play. you had AA and it was HU. he's gonna push with a large number of hands in this situation, and he happened to do it at an inopportune moment.

    to sum up:

    good play
    nice win
    big deal
